To empower emerging generations to discover and fulfill their God-given destiny!
Vision
According to George Barna, this generation is the most unchurched generation in American history. It is a day of acute transition in our society, and, as believers, we have not effectively reached this generation.
Our vison as an organization is to be a part of the solution in reaching the generation. We will facilitate members of the emerging generation in finding their specific mission and purpose and then train and enable them to fulfill that mission through understanding leadership and the principles of teamwork. We will accomplish this vision through four elements.
First is the "Outdoor Adventure" program. We began adventure trips in 2004. We take students into the wilderness for 1 to 10 days then in that timelessness context we use curriculum with proven challenges and exercises that enables students to connect with themselves, God, and their destiny. These trips are custom designed for each group so that they can gain the most benefit possible.
The second element of Pathfinders is a summer camp enviroment that focuses on relationship with God, understanding and developing a personal mission statement, leadership and teamwork
The third element of the ministry is a partnership with area churches to provide a youth group experience for students in smaller churches who can't effectively provide a youth program for their students. The program is for any student from 6th to 12th grades.
The fourth element of Pathfinders' ministry is a life-skills training program for local students in 6th and 7th grades. At-risk students and those from lower socio-economic backgrounds are brought to the campus twice a week to participate in an active learning curriculum covering 6 fundamental life-skills.
Our vision is large and clear. We want to see a generation reached for Jesus and released as effective Christians and citizens to accomplish their God-given purpose in the world.
